Re-Certifications

Participants that need to renew expiring certificates may attend a workplace approved first aid and / or CPR re-certification class. These courses are designed to challenge and refresh the skills of participants that have previously taken a course. Prior to registering for a renewal course ensure that you meet all of the course prerequisites. Participants that successfully complete these courses will receive a workplace approved certificate that is valid for 3 years.

Standard First Aid Re-Certification

This re-cert course is the most popular renewal course that we offer. This course takes approximately 8 hours to complete and provides certification that meets academic and workplace requirements. Participants must have a current standard first aid and CPR certificate in order to be eligible for this course. This course includes CPR re-certification and participants can select either CPR level “A”, “C” or “HCP” to partner with the program. The cost of this re-certification course is — (taxes included).

CPR re-certification in Nanaimo

All first aid renewal courses include CPR re-certification.

CPR level “C” Re-Certification

This short re-cert course is the most popular CPR only renewal course available through the workplace approved. Participants will not receive any first aid re-certification in this course and will only be certified in CPR and AED. The certificate is valid for 3 years, however, many individuals are required to renew certification at a sooner date due to workplace or academic requirements.  The cost of this CPR re-certification course is — (taxes included)

CPR level “HCP” Re-Certification

Participants that need to renew only CPR “HCP” and AED certification should attend this course. This course takes approximately 4 hours to complete and provides successful participants with a certificate that is valid for 3 years. Certification meets and or exceeds workplace and academic requirements for CPR for health care providers. The cost of this CPR re-certification class is — (taxes included)

Please ensure that you meet all prerequisites and that you bring your valid award to the re-certification course. Instructors can not issue new awards prior to viewing previous first aid and / or CPR certification.
